No need to beware the Ides of March this year, because you have a chance to get your vessel on Neptune’s good side on the 13 th at the annual HBYC Blessing of the Fleet.

Bring your boat out to the race start area at Marker 2 at noon on March 13 and partake in the Blessing of the Fleet. Father Collins will again be leading the ceremony, and all boaters are welcomed to take part. Once on site, you’ll be asked to queue up with the other boats and circle Voyager II. The chaplain will conduct the blessing on Channel 72 VHF, and each boat will receive an individual blessing as they pass the stern of the host boat.

Bayonet Point Yacht Club will be joining us this year for the blessing, so don’t be shy about coming out and participating. If you don’t have a boat, call a friend in the club who does have a boat and join their crew for the event. It will be a good day, I promise!
