The Starting Line
March 2010
There once were some boats from the Hud
That sailed every race that they could
It was mighty cold
But they were so bold
That they went as fast as they should.
Sounds Good crossed the start line first
She took off with a fantastic burst
But right behind
Cat Can Do you could find
With such speed that we thought she was cursed.
The third boat was the Lady In Red
On a starboard tack she head
The Bloody Mary’s while hot
Alcoholic they were not
But I can’t say the same for the captain.
Forth in the rush was Ronsway
Who was having a wonderful day
Their sails were full
And that’s no bull
And then they were on their way
Now next came Time 2 Cruise
Their crew had nothing to loose
So they poured out the rum
And had lots of fun
And settled down for a snooze
Dunteri was helmed by a lass
Who certainly had plenty of class
But for the crew
They had lots to do
And no one sat on their …..Butt
So the race began as I told
As this terrible limerick unfolds
At the end of the race
Several boats traded place
And this report is getting old.
The Race Director is mad as a loon
He wants more racers out soon
He’s up to his tricks
So the handicaps’ he fixed
And the results are coming real soon.
A special thanks to the committee boats Voyager II and We Go.
On The Water finish, before applying handicaps, were Lady In Red, Dunteri, and Cat Can Do
Third Place – Sounds Good , Tibor and Laura Kormanyos
Second Place – Ron Meroz
First Place – Lady In Red, Gene and Chris Michaux
