February Report

‘Twas the night before the first race, and all through the Hud,

The tide had gone way out, and there was nothing but mud;

The top sides were detailed; the bottoms were faired, in hopes of a victory on the race course this year.

The crews were ready, with plans in their head, to conquer the race course and beat Lady In Red.

The captains were worried that the water would be, so skinny that only a few could get free.

The commodore called with a voice of despair, that their would be no first race in the year.

Don’t worry you sailors, life is a blast, your race director will fix it, so don’t bend your mast.

On Ilikai, Lagniappe,and Time to Cruise. To the channel you head, theirs no time to loose.

Go Dunteri, Sounds Good and Cat Can Do. Let Soiree and Inspiration follow you.

On Whisper , Czech Mate and Old Sandy Bell, Shark Bait and Esparanza will be there as well.

So with a swig of rum and a wave of his hand, the race director gave this command.

Come water, come wind so the race can begin:

I’ll call on the big guy to see if he’s in.

King Neptune said as he honored the plea, no problem my friend, anything for HBYC.
