Update on the February Race:
Our scheduled race is still a GO for February 19th, at 13:00. The forecast are looking good and the temps are going to be great. The captains meeting will be at 10:00, at the pavilion on Hudson Beach. We are looking for other areas but this time I’d like to see what kind of reception we get at the pavilion. If they chase us out then “Ollie Oyster” will be our back up location. For those who don’t know, Ollie Oyster is on Clark Street just a hundred yards before Hudson Beach. (6438 Clark St.).
The course will still be a one lap simple triangle with coordinates of 1 (start), 10, 9, 1. It will be 5.2 nm and all buoys will be passed on the PORT side. Start for all boats will be 13:00 GPS time.
We do have some help lined up for placing the turn markers.
We have a few club members that have expressed interest in crewing, please let me know if you have room for some human ballast.
As always, the race will be contingent on weather conditions. The 10 marker locations (coordinates) are in the “myhbyc.com” web site under racing. They are the same as last year.
